This series of five (5) workshops taught by counselor, Karen Dudgeon, LCSW, is for any adult with an adolescent in their lives. Participants will receive a free copy of the book, Brainstorm: The Power and
Purpose of the Teenage Brain, by attending any individual session, but we hope you attend all five.
The workshops, light dinner, childcare and the book are all FREE to participants. Pre-registration strongly encouraged.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Karen Dudgeon, LCSW, is a native of Homer, NY, and earned her BA in Sociology from SUNY Cortland before moving to New York to attend New York University’s School of Social Work for her MSW.
After graduating, Karen worked in many different settings, including schools, outpatient,
and inpatient settings with people of all ages facing a
myriad of challenges.
Since opening her private counseling practice in Cortland, NY Karen has specialized in treating trauma and has previously taught a wide variety of in-services and workshops on trauma, trauma-informed care and how trauma and care both affect our brains. Karen has taught these workshops in a variety of settings including community meetings, schools and with private employers.
Karen's couneling practice subscribes to a strengths-based perspective to assist clients in being their best selves. These techniques include mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed practice, supportive therapies, and family systems.
