A How-To Guide for Parents & Teachers
This series of five (5) workshops taught by counselor, Karen Dudgeon, LCSW, is for any adult with an adolescent in their lives. Participants will receive a free copy of the book, Brainstorm: The Power and
Purpose of the Teenage Brain, by attending any individual session, but we hope you attend all five.
The workshops, light dinner, childcare and the book are all FREE to participants. Pre-registration strongly encouraged.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Karen Dudgeon, LCSW, is a therapist in private practice in Cortland, NY. A native of Homer, NY, she received a B.A. in Sociology from SUNY Cortland and Masters in Social Work from New York University's Ehrenkranz School.
Early in her career, she worked for Staten Island Mental Health Society's On-Site School Program at I.S. 2 in the New York
City Public Schools and also served as a school social worker at Marathon Junior-Senior High School.
After the 9/11 attacks, she worked for Project Liberty, helping families and first responders affected. Later, while working for the Jewish Board of Children and Family Services Linden Hill RTF, she had the opportunity to attend the Martha K. Selig Institute for a three-year postgraduate certificate in trauma studies.
Karen is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional through the International Association of Trauma Professionals. She also enjoys playing with Legos and geeking out about the human brain and Star Wars with her husband and three children.
