Aid to Victims of Violence (AVV)

A free, confidential program for victims of violence in Cortland County.

AVV offers phone counseling, crisis intervention, client advocacy, support group, supportive counseling, educational programs, and emergency shelter for battered women and children. We provide accompaniment to the police, hospital, and shelter. The purpose of AVV is to empower victims of abuse to live their own lives free of abuse and oppression by helping them explore options on their own, through this intervention.
