YWCA of Cortland
Weight Training
Weight Training participants use various machines to improve their over-all strength, posture, and balance. Cardiovascular training is achieved through use of treadmills, stationary bikes, and elliptical cross-trainers. Individuals new to the program meet one-on-one with a trainer to assess their needs, and undergo a physical assessment before beginning their exercise program. Initial workouts are done in a supervised environment to assure a safe workout. This program may be adapted to individual needs, and is suitable for any fitness level. The YWCA Weight Training program is a women-only program to insure the comfort of our members.
The weight room is accessible whenever the YWCA building is open. Supervised hours vary daily.
