Description of Services:
Cortland Community Reentry Program (CCRP) is a comprehensive neurologic rehabilitation program designed to address the needs of people recovering from a brain injury. We are accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Individuals who are over the age of 16, and who are mentally stable, are able to apply for admission. Services at CCRP begin with a comprehensive field evaluation and meetings with the clients, their families, and other service providers to determine a potential client's appropriateness for admission.
Our treatment teams are able to provide services to individuals with cognitive, physical, emotional, and behavioral issues arising from:
- Traumatic Brain Injuries
- Aneurysms
- Brain Tumors
- Strokes
- CNS Infections
- Anoxia or Hypoxia
- Exposure to Toxins
- Drug/Alcohol Abuse
Within the first ten days of admission, a series of screenings and evaluations are completed and brought to an interdiscipinary team meeting where goals are identified and necessary services determined to meet the individual's needs. These services include:

- Psychiatric Consultation
- Residential Skills Training
- Substance Abuse Treatment
- Nursing and Medical Support
- Case Management
- Neuro Psychology
- Cognitive Therapy
- Vocational Services
- Community Integration
- Therapeutic Recreation
- Family Counseling
- Behavior Plans
- Clinical Psychology
If a client is found to be appropriate for admission in our facility, payment for services can be a concern. We will offer to assist you with phone calls and meetings with your insurance company to see if the necessary services are covered through your policy. If you do not have coverage through your insurance policy, we sometimes are able to access funding through Medicaid and the NYSDOH Medicaid Waiver Program. Unfortunately we are not able, at this time, to access funding through Medicare. Lastly, some people are able to pay for our services through their own funds or through a trust fund/settlement.
