Education and Programs

Caring for an individual with dementia requires an understanding of the disease. Family caregivers can take part in essential education programs with topics including disease progression, communication and behaviors, daily activities and medical and legal planning. Residential care facilities can contract the Chapter to provide customized training to their staff on any number of topics. Presentations can also be made to businesses and civic groups at meetings and as part of a company wellness program.
