Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly (EISEP) Program
The Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly (EISEP) Program provides in-home, non-medical services to individuals who need help to remain at home.
Services provided include:
- Case management
- Personal care and housekeeper/chore assistance with such things as bathing, toileting, transferring, dressing, eating, meal preparation, housekeeping, shopping and transportation
- Non-institutional respite for caregivers
- Ancillary services such as an emergency response system and minor home modifications.
Eligibility Criteria:
- 60 years or older
- Have functional limitations
- Have limited, non-medical needs
- Able to be maintained safely at home
- Involvement of family member or friend strongly encouraged; in the case of respite services, the involvement of a family member or friend is required.
- Not eligible for the same or similar services from another funding source, such as Medicaid
- Be willing to share the cost of services if income guidelines require
- Must be agreeable to an in-home evaluation
To apply, call the Area Agency on Aging Office at 753-5060. A case manager from the Area Agency will complete a financial and needs assessment. Family and informal support persons are encouraged to participate. Monitoring and reassessment will be provided.
