Rural Economic and Community Development (RECD, formerly FHA)

Grants and low interest loans are available to people 60 and over, within income limits, who need repairs to remove a health or safety hazard in their home. These funds are for repair or installation of sanitary water or waste disposal systems, insulation, combination screen/storm windows and doors, repair or replacement of heating system, foundation supports, roof and seriously deteriorated siding.
