Franziska Racker Centers is a non-profit human services agency serving people with disabilities and their families since 1948. Franziska Racker Centers has 17 service locations, serving nearly 2,000 people each year, in Cortland, Tioga, and Tompkins Counties. Individuals, primarily those with special needs, and their families from these and neighboring counties may access our programs and supports. Of the 17 sites, 4 are offices and 13 are residences. We work in the community as well as in our facilities, including:
- 22 school districts in Seneca, Tompkins, Cortland, and Tioga counties
- The homes of individual families in these and neighboring counties
- Tompkins-Seneca-Tioga BOCES
- Onondaga-Cortland-Madison BOCES
- Residences for people with disabilities in Cortland, Covert, Dryden, Groton, Homer, Ithaca, and Trumansburg
- Day care, Head Start, and preschool programs in Cortland, Ithaca, and Owego
Programs include: evaluation and early intervention; day care and preschool; speech, physical, occupational, and audiological therapies; mental health services; supportive residences; respite care; case management; referral services; community involvement programs; day habilitation; residential habilitation; waiver respite; service coordination; and a community clinic.
