Description of Services

In conjunction with schools, health care organizations, and community agencies, the Cortland County Asthma Coalition provides education about asthma to the public and to professional groups. Funded by a New York State Health Department grant, the coalition offers free case management to children between the ages of 3 and 16. Case management can greatly improve an asthmatic child's quality of life, allowing them to participate in sports programs, sleep through the night without breathing problems, and suffer from fewer side effects of medications.
